System maps and line diagrams

System maps divide QR's network into four sections - North , South, South-East and Brisbane Metropolitan. Line diagrams detail distances, number of tracks, the type of infrastructure (eg. private sidings) and stations.

In accordance with QR’s Access Undertaking the line diagrams are updated at intervals of no greater than 6 months. The system information below was last updated on 25 June 2007 and reflects changes to the configuration or management of the network up to and including 31 May 2007.

It is recommended that Access Seekers initially view the system information for the applicable network to determine which system is relevant to their Access Application. The main traffic on each system is indicated as follows: P-Passenger, C-Coal and F-Freight.
