Our core business is to sell access to QR’s track and fixed network assets. Are you a potential ‘access seeker’? Access

QR’s Access Undertaking sets down clear guidelines for access to, and operation on, the QR rail network.

The access regime in Australia

A key principle behind Australia’s National Competition Policy is to remove the monopolies of essential services such as rail and make the industries more efficient by opening them up to competition. QR established Network Access in response to this.

The Inaugural Coal Rail Infrastructure Master Plan was developed in consultation with industry.
Network Access successfully negotiated the new Access Undertaking with the Queensland competition Authority, the Queensland Resources Council and industry.
